The toxicity of imidacloprid insecticide to humans appears to be low, causing only mild symptoms such as vomiting, abdominal pain, headache, and diarrhea in most cases. Ingestion of large amounts may cause sedation and respiratory arrest.
Imidacloprid is an insecticide and as such can be toxic to your dog. This is especially true if your dog is sick or already weak from illness. Small dogs may also be toxic to imidacloprid.
Maximum efficacy (99.1% to 100%) was observed at 7 days post-treatment for all 3 doses. Flea control with 3.75 mg imidacloprid/kg bw ranged from 94.4% to 96.9% on days 14 to 28 and decreased to 91.6% on day 34 after treatment.
The product has a good quick-acting effect and has a high control effect within 1 day after the medicine, and the residual period is as long as 25 days.
