Fipronil is a kind of phenylpyrazole insecticide with a broad insecticidal spectrum. It is mainly gastric toxic to pests, and has both contact and certain systemic effects. It has high insecticidal activity against important pests such as aphids, leafhoppers, planthoppers, lepidopteran larvae, flies and coleoptera, and has no phytotoxicity to crops.
Product Description
Fipronil 5% SC is a modern insecticide of the Phenylpyrazole group which controls the insect pests of rice, chili, cabbage/cauliflower and sugarcane effectively. It has been proven to offer low dose, highly effective insect control against a broad range of economically important pests.
The fipronil insecticida medicament can be applied to the soil or foliar spray. Applying to the soil can effectively control corn root leaf beetle, golden needle beetle and cutworm. When spraying on the leaves, it has a high level of control effect against Plutella xylostella, Pieris rapae, and rice thrips, and has a long lasting effect.

Fipronil insecticide controls the insects by its contact, stomach and systemic action. Primarily acts as an ingestion toxicant with some complimentary contact action and acts by interfering in nerve impulse transmission. It interferes with the passage of chloride ions through the Gamma Amino Butyric Acid (GABA) regulated chloride channel, thereby disrupting CNS activity and at sufficient doses, causing insect death.
